Personal Statement

My name is Jaeyoon Lee, and my life has been a series of adventures across continents. Born in Venezuela, I've lived in Sydney, Korea, Rome, Massachusetts, and spent my high school years in Quito, Ecuador.

During college, I stumbled upon the world of design while taking some Interaction Design courses. This led me to intern at a small company where I realized that, unfortunately, design in Korea, especially in smaller companies, is often undervalued and overlooked. Despite this, my passion for prototyping and product creation led me to explore programming. During my military service, I dedicated my downtime to studying and practicing code. Once discharged, I joined Slice, a company specializing in digital business cards, as a developer.

I'm eager to learn more about user interface interaction and how to create designs that truly engage users. My goal is to apply these principles to craft an impressive developer portfolio website that stands out to HR managers.

On a personal note, I'm an avid reader. Whether it's novels, memoirs, or delving into the world of finance, I find joy in the written word and the knowledge it brings.
